There are a lot of acronyms and unfamiliar terms throughout the website; can you define some of them?
确定! You’re right; there are a lot of terms that could be confusing so here’s a brief glossary:
- 合同培训: 指由特定合同规定的培训. Most often this training that responds to a need that an organization identifies and then contracts 基督教社会联盟DH 继续和专业教育学院 to administer.
- 信贷: refers to university credit or the courses that offer university credit.
- 无学分: 指不提供大学学分的课程. Sometimes referred to as: 专业发展, personal Enrichment, or Continuing Education.
- 开放大学: is a way for students not currently admitted to 基督教社会联盟DH to enroll in courses offered by the university. Students who enroll through 开放大学 will receive 开放大学 Special Session Credit. You are able to apply up to 24 units of 开放大学 Special Session credit toward a baccalaureate degree or six units toward a graduate degree.
- 个人发展: 指课程 that provide tools or skills that enhance personal growth and are not necessarily career oriented.
- 职业发展: refers to credit and non-credit courses or programs that are designed to keep your job skills up-to-date, 提高你的知识和工作技能，促进你的职业发展, 或者教给你转行所需的知识和技能.
- 继续教育: 指课程, programs or organized learning experience usually taken after a degree is obtained to enhance personal and 职业al goals.

Our 职业al development (non-credit) courses are designed specifically to provide individuals and 行业 a quick, concentrated way to acquire a solid core of knowledge and practical skills in specific fields. These opportunities include seminars, workshops, and certificate programs. Many 职业al development courses offer 持续教育组s (CEUs).
Can I get a grade or university credit for Profession Development courses?
No, but 持续教育组s are permanent record of attendance in 专业发展 non-credit programs. They are awarded by The American Council on Education (ACE) and administered through 基督教社会联盟DH. CEUs can enhance your resume and provide another opportunity to showcase your commitment to your processional development. CEUs for specific 职业s are also available for select programs.
如果我没有在华南理工大学注册，我可以选修大学学分课程吗?
是的, 开放大学 provides an opportunity for those people who are not currently admitted to and/or registered at 基督教社会联盟DH to enroll in most courses offered by the regular university. 基督教社会联盟DH’s 开放大学 program allows enrollment in regular university credit classes on a “space available” basis, 须经导师及系主任同意. The registration process is easy and admission to the university is not required.
我怎么知道一个项目是否适合我? 我如何决定选修哪些课程?
在我们大多数的程序描述中, please review the "Who Should Attend" section to learn about expectations and career relevance; in addition, the "What You Will Learn" section identifies course objectives and outcomes.
Take a look at your program of interest to see if those descriptions meet your needs and educational goals.

我可以在课程的第一天到现场注册吗?
开放大学:
